a poem, by jamie buster
the sweet, smooth, silk of chocolate
touch taste buds and tingle the tongue
my lips puckered and they crinkled
i love the song my senses sung
driving fast with the top missing
i hold tight to air in my hair
smiling at the faces near me
growing young without a care
a family of kids my own age
we are laughing, singing, driving
nights of sights and fainted star lights
into life we all are diving
parting with the days we live now
will be the thing i cannot bear
but leaving youth in its place
is what makes it so beautifully rare
for precious are the vivid faces
that have detailed the stories i've told
one truth i keep safe inside me:
so young is youth and never old.

forget teaching ... you should just be a poet.
Seriously.
OR
a song writer.
I'll talk to Ben for you..
